‘Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.’

1 John 2 vs 15-17 (NKJV)

Before all things, we are to live for the glory of God.
So it matters how we steward our lives: our time, talent and resources.
This means we are to love the things that matter most to God above all else.

‘Buy’ memories before things, unless those things are for making memories.
Live life without regret, in that you spend time, effort and money on people & memories more so than things.
You are not going to regret never owning a Porsche (not that owning a Porsche is sin), but you will regret not sacrificing for a soul to be saved, impacting eternity, investing in your family or how about taking that family holiday you always dreamed of.
Things are important, but remember what is passing away and what remains eternal.
