My Observation:
Evangelism today has become so misconstrued. Many believe evangelism to be when we simply invite someone to a church service. I have asked a number of people (leaders) what they believe evangelism to be, and a common answer is, ‘when I invite someone to church’. Inviting others to church is not a bad gesture at all and we are to do this, but if it is what replaces the command to preach the Gospel then I’m afraid we have sorely ‘missed the boat’.
God has called each one of us to reach and rescue others with the truth of Gospel of Jesus Christ; how dare we leave this responsibility to the pastors and preachers on a Sunday.
‘And He said to them, “GO into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’ – Mark 16 vs 15 AMP
Our primary concern should be to invite others to Christ, then a church service.
