Pride waits patiently at a locked ‘door’ to infiltrate a man’s heart [spirit]. The moment somebody compares themselves to another fallen man, the ‘door’ is unlocked for pride to enter and bring slow destruction.

A humble person is one who compares themselves to Christ. Such people realize that they never truly measure up to His perfect standards. The humble guard their hearts [inner most being], and keep what is sacred locked away. They only have grace to give others, because they themselves know that is all they have!
