I am not only married during the times I see my wife, during the times I speak to her, during the times I spend with her, during the times listening to her and during the times of enjoying her company and affection. I am married AT ALL TIMES. I am married to her even during the times when I am not speaking to her, during the times when we don’t see each other, during the times when I can’t enjoy her company and affection. Even during the times I can’t hear her speak to me, I REMAIN married. You see… we are married because of a commitment and because of who we are to each other. We are married because of a covenant we made!
It is because of this very same principle that I declare myself a born-again Christian. I am a child of God!
You see… I am a child of God not only during the times I ‘see’ God, during the times I speak to Him, during the times I spend with Him, during the times I listen to Him and enjoy His presence and feel His affection. I am a child of God AT ALL TIMES. I am His child even when I don’t ‘see’ Him, during the times I find it difficult to hear Him, during the times when I am not listening to Him, during the times when I can’t seem to enjoy His presence nor feel His affection. I am a child of God AT ALL TIMES because of a commitment and because of who we are to each other. I am a child of God because of a covenant we made, and one that He initiated. Yes, HE IS MY GOD AND I AM HIS CHILD, AT ALL TIMES!
