Fundamentally and primarily worship is not about you. You ought to worship even if you were to get nothing from it. It’s so not about you that if you were to choose not to worship, the rocks would cry out. Why? Because worship is all about God and He will not go without it.
I see it as worship of self to worship God in order to get something out of it. Worship Him for Him.
