I am always questioned about why people need to hear God and have a ‘word’ (a promise or confirmation from His Bible) from God for our lives and when it comes to decisions we need to make in life. My answer cannot be more simple than this:
You need a promise or a word from God, because when you go through what seems like hell, you need something from heaven to hold on to. (WCGS)
This kind of word gives us faith in times of confusion and questioning. It is what will result in the glory as we enduringly live it out.
The word is a lamp and light for our paths in life (Psalm 119:105), and in times of chaos we can have assurance that what we are doing is obeying our Father.
I, honestly, fear not hearing the Shepherd’s voice for my life. (John 10 vs 4-5 and 16)
My prayer is that you would have the same fear to never walk without having heard Him too.
Challenge: Ask God to give you Scripture to confirm what all you need to do.
“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.” – PSALM 16 vs 11 AMP
‘You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.’ – Acts 2 vs 28 NIV
And this, my friends, is just one of the many, many reasons why we ought to be in the Word of God daily. #Abide365
