‘For we walk by faith, not by sight.’
2 Corinthians 5 vs 7 (NKJV)
Walking by faith, in faith and with faith all looks so foolish to those who have not heard the voice of God and trusted Him to do what He said He would.
If ‘faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God’ (Romans 10:17 NKJV), then it is of vital importance that we seek to hear the voice of God.
For the world, walking by faith is seen as walking blindly, but walking by faith as a Christian is proof that we can actually see (eternally).
As a Christian, walking by sight (temporarily) displays the lack of faith, and yet sadly the world sees this as wisdom. How can I say that? Well…
‘There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.’
Proverbs 14 vs 12 (NKJV)
We are called to walk by faith (in obedience according to His Word) and not by sight (not according to the patterns of this world).
So if you are currently hesitant about something God is asking you to do, may I encourage you to walk by faith, and not by sight.
